The Festival of Contemporary Church Music had been held on April 29 to May 2 in Uzhhorod for the eighth time. In the course of the festival days the concerts of church music were performed in different artistic locations of Uzhhorod as well as workshops and lectures conducted by the participants of the Festival.
The eventful programme consisted of performances of the famous Ukrainian musicians, Chamber Choir “Cantus” Chamber Choir “Gloria”, and even the pianoforte evening “Quiet songs” (Valentin Silvestrov) performed by József Erminia and Natalia Polovynka.
The festival was organized by the Academic Chamber Choir “Cantus” with the assistance of the Department of Culture of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and Department of Culture, Sport, Family and Youth of Uzhhorod Municipal Council.
