This is the eleventh time “Cantus” will perform several concerts in Switzerland. This year tour will take place on October 14 – 28. As in previous years, this time the Choir will present several programs. The program “Fruits of Prayer” will be central, which unites the spiritual works of the composers from the Eastern and Western Europe being of different epochs and styles merging into a single sound.

The Festival of Contemporary Church Music had been held on April 29 to May 2 in Uzhhorod for the eighth time. In the course of the festival days the concerts of church music were performed in different artistic locations of Uzhhorod as well as workshops and lectures conducted by the participants of the Festival.

“Dream of my life was to create a professional choir. The thing occurred, when being impossible I suppose to be an absolute miracle!” Emil Sokach.

In December this year it will be 25 years since the professional Chamber Choir “Cantus” has been formed. “Cantus” wishes to celebrate its birth day together with all its admirers. For this reason, the Academic Chamber Choir “Cantus” invites all those wishing to its Jubilee Concert on Saturday, December 9, 2017. The best choir musical works from the choir’s repertoire and the fragments of the Y.S. Bach “Christmas Oratorio” will be  on the programme.
